2005-08-23 - 9:27 a.m.

This is what I"m doing instead of smoking. This was going to be a scarf for my sister, but it's growing out of control, so it's approaching shawl size now. I call it Scrawl. I should learn to find and follow a pattern instead of reading a few patterns and jumping in thinking "I can figure it out as I go". I should learn this because it never works the way my head assumes it will.

It's very soft, very fuzzy and very fluffy. I want to keep it, but I also need to give it as a gift because we're fucking broke and buying gifts for the holidays this year probably isn't going to be happening on a very large scale at all.
